Rodarius MarcellGreen[2] (born on August 27 1998) is a popular American rapper and singer. [3][4][5] He is known for his powerful voice and incorporation of R&B and hip-hop,and has been recognized as a pioneer of soul-trap.Wave became famous by releasing the hit song of the year "Heart on Ice" and went viral on YouTube and TikTok and peaked at number 25 on the Billboard Hot 100. [7] Wave's debut album, Ghetto Gospel (2019) was a top 10 album on the US Billboard 200. His follow-up album Pray 4 Love (2020) peaked at the top of the Billboard 200 at number 2,[9and ranked at number 9. It featured the song "Rags2Riches" which climbed to 12th on the Hot 100. The third album, SoulFly (2021), debuted at number 1 on the Billboard 200 (marking his first album to chart tops). Wave's professional work began in 2016 with the launch of his mixtape Hunger Games Vol.1. Before signing with Alamo Records, he released several mixtapes on his own. He released his mixtape PTSD on June 14 of 2019, and it featured the song "Heart on Ice". The track went viral on YouTube and TikTok, peaking at number 25 on the Billboard Hot 100. Wave's debut album Ghetto Gospel (November 1, 2019,) was released. It reached number 10 on the US Billboard 200. The 3rd of April, 2020, Rod Wave released his second album, "Pray 4 Love". It debuted at number 2 in the Billboard 200. A deluxe edition was released on the 7th of August. The album debuted at 2nd place on the Billboard 200 chart, with the release of a deluxe version on August 7. Wave was selected for XXL's 2020 Freshman Class on the 11th of August the 11th of August, 2020. Wave informed XXL's 2020 Freshman Class in July 2020 that he was working on his third album. The album was originally scheduled for release on August 27, in 2020. The singer revealed the tracklist for the album SoulFly in an interview held on March 6th, 2021. One of his top-charting tracks, "Street Runner", was also included in the album. It reached number 11 on the Hot 100. In 2021, in the late part of 2021 the release of the song "Nirvana" generated some controversy , as some viewed the song as a suicide note, which Wave was adamantly against. [20] Rod Rod Rod Rod Rod
