LeBron Raymone James Sr. (born December 30, 1984) was an American professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). King James is widely regarded as one of the best basketball players. He is often in comparison to Michael Jordan when discussing the most popular basketball player. James has taken home four NBA championships and four NBA MVP Awards, four NBA Finals MVP awards three All-Star MVP awards and two Olympic gold medals. James has scored the second most career goals and seventh in assists. He has been selected as an NBA All Star 18 times. Additionally, as an NBA All-Star, James was picked as a member of the NBA All-NBA Team on 18 occasions. He has competed in 10 NBA Finals the third most ever, including eight times in a row between 2011 and 2018. In 2021 James was chosen to join make the NBA 75th Anniversary Team, and in 2022 became the first player to ever in NBA history to accumulate 10,000 or more career points as well as assists and rebounds. James was a student at St. Vincent St. Mary High school in Akron, Ohio. The school was recognized by national media as the next NBA superstar. He was a top pick for the Cleveland Cavaliers selected him with the first pick of the NBA draft in 2003. Named the 2004 NBA Rookie of the Year, the player quickly became one of the league's premier players by winning the NBA MVP title in both 2009 and 2010. He was unable to secure an NBA championship, Cleveland James left in 2010 as a free agent in order to become a member of with the Miami Heat this was announced on television in the special The Decision and is among the most controversial free-agent decisions ever made in the history of sports.
